Miller is a mother of seven and a grandmother of 17. Miller and her family have operated a grain and cattle farm for more than 40 years. Miller considers herself a political outsider, and her husband Chris is an Illinois State Representative.
On The Issues
Miller opposes any "single payer" proposals. She has not been on the record about Obamacare. She says she wants to encourage health care competition and price transparency in the free market, allowing insurers to offer plans that cross state lines. She supports allowing workers to keep their health care plans even when they change jobs. Miller supports Medicare reform without reducing benefits to anyone currently in the program.
